Basement framing & finishing in Southeast Wisconsin
An unfinished basement is the cheapest square footage you already own. We frame it out properly, with egress, soffits and bulkheads planned around your ductwork and plumbing, so it passes inspection and feels like part of the house.
What's included
- Layout walkthrough so you know where every wall, door and soffit goes before we start
- Pressure-treated bottom plates and walls set off the foundation
- Bedroom, bathroom, utility and storage room partitions
- Soffits and bulkheads around ducts, beams and plumbing
- Framing for egress windows, closets and stairs
- Blocking for vanities, grab bars, TVs and shelving
Permits and inspections
Finished basements in most Southeast Wisconsin municipalities need a building permit and inspections. We frame to code and to your approved plans, and we talk through any obstacles before we start. One recent customer added 1,100 sq ft below grade, with a bedroom, full bath and great room, and passed city inspections with no exceptions.
Working around your schedule
You don't need to babysit the job. Customers have left town while we framed and come home to a clean site with the work done.

From our customers
★★★★★Gilberto and his crew did an outstanding job framing our lower level. Our project is to add 1100 sq ft, below grade with a bedroom, full bath and great room, with full city permits along with inspections required, in our currently unfinished basement. There were a significant number of obstacles, which were all…
★★★★★We LOVED worked with Gilberto and his team. His company did the framing work for our new construction ranch back in 2018. We liked them so much we hired them to do our basement. He’s now our go to guy for our home projects now. Great guy, business, and professional quality!!!
Common questions
Do I need a permit to finish my basement?
In most Southeast Wisconsin communities, yes, especially if you add a bedroom or bathroom. Check with your city or village; we frame to the approved plans and inspection requirements.
Can you frame around my ductwork and beams?
Yes. Soffits, bulkheads and boxed beams are a normal part of basement framing. We plan them with you before starting.
Can I add a bedroom in my basement?
A legal basement bedroom needs proper egress, usually an egress window. We frame the opening and the room to code.
Do you do the drywall and finish work too?
We focus on framing and carpentry. Tell us what you need and we can talk through the full scope.
